The Renaissance Faire is in full force here in Hollister! (open on the weekends through October 15th, 10am-6pm) This year was our 3rd time going. We’ve made a bit of a tradition out of it. I never went as a kid but would have been in heaven with all the medieval potions, fairies, princesses and so on…I was very into magic, witchcraft and fairies as a kid.
Check out the schedule HERE for a Renaissance Faire near you! They are all over the United States with Faire dates through mid October. Just going to people watch is amazing.
This year I joined Piper and dressed up making it that much more fun, it felt like a precursor to Halloween, getting into the spirit a little early.
There are plenty of games for your husband to feel tough throwing spears, javelins and shooting bow and arrows. Mine was pretty happy to do all this “manly” stuff and get the girls in on some of the activities. Piper actually got a few of those throwing stars to stick on the target, for a proud dad moment.
Lots of fun stuff for the kids to do, magic shows, face painting, a petting zoo, and harnessed jumping (that costs an arm and a leg for the 5 minutes but they had fun so it was worth it).
Of course all the faire food you can imagine, including turkey legs…haha
Check out our very first trip to the faire HERE. Piper was so little, and a natural little actress.
We’ve had the best time there! Below are some of my favorite photos from last year, it’s crazy how fast these little peanuts of mine are growing!
Happy Fall Festival season!! Do you have any favorite fall traditions?
