A Hot Dog Bar for Game Day!

This post is sponsored by Nathan's Famous® but all opinions and images are my own.
The Big Game is coming up! Sunday, February 13, 2022, is the day! I don’t know about you but I just like the commercials and the FOOD! This year we are setting up a hot dog bar with Nathan’s Famous® Beef Franks for our family and friends.  A hot dog bar is an easy and delicious way to feed a crowd big or small. It could also be great for a birthday party!
We grabbed Nathan’s Famous® Beef Franks, buns, and all the fixings from our local grocery store to create a fun hot dog bar. The kids love it and the adults do too! You can get adventurous with toppings or keep things simple and classic. Clean-up is fast making it a win for everyone!

How to Create Your Own Hot Dog Bar

Cook your hot dogs the way you like them. We like to use Nathan’s Famous® Bun-Length Beef Franks. You can boil them, grill them on the barbeque, fry them in a pan on the stovetop, bake them in the oven, or even AirFry them. I prefer them barbequed, personally.
Grab some small serving bowls and fill them with all your favorite toppings.

Hot Dog Bar at Home

It seems that every region has its own way to dress up a hot dog! Here are a few of my favorites.

The Best Types of Hot Dogs

Chicago Style

We love everything about Chicago, from their museums to their hot dogs! Create your own Chicago Style Hot Dog using Nathan’s Famous® Beef Franks. Chicago style hot dogs are topped with yellow mustard (never ketchup), chopped white onions, sweet pickle relish, tomato slices, pickled peppers, a dill pickle, and a sprinkle of celery salt.

French Hot Dogs

In France, they cover hot dogs in Gruyére cheese and broil them until the cheese melts. Street vendors sell them and they are amazingly good! In Paris, my girls both loved getting French-style hot dogs for lunch.

Classic Style

When I was a kid I’d eat hot dogs with ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish, a purely classic hot dog. Now I like to add a couple of tomato slices and call it a day. You can’t go wrong with a classic hot dog to bring you back to your childhood.

Have fun building your own hot dog bar! I know it will be a hit at your game day watch party!
