Hi there!

I’m Melanie Kluger, personal stylist, best selling author, and confidence booster. I help women all over the world gain confidence in their style and I’m so thrilled to be here on Ali-ish today sharing some of my favorite tips to help you too! Here you are in the new year and you are ready to make a change. But it’s not the change everyone talks about on the internet (thank goodness). Instead of focusing on diets or changing the outside (cause girl, you KNOW you are beautiful) you are focusing on how to feel confident in who you are now. So, how do you actually DO that?

Below are 5 of my favorite ways to create confidence and a clean closet at the same time.

Talk about a way to start the new year off with a bang!

1. Make time to shower.

I know, it sounds like the silliest place to start. But how many times have you made something else a priority? As Rachel Hollis says “Girl, wash your face”. Ultimately if you aren’t doing those basic hygiene steps before anything else, you aren’t going to feel your best. And that’s what we are aiming for. Start with something small that makes a big impact.

2. Head to the underwear drawer.

Nothing gives you that extra pep in your step quite like a new pair of undies that you picked out just for you. The beauty in getting new bras and underwear is that it not only makes you feel great, it also helps your clothes fit better. A well fitting bra is a game changer inside and out.

3. Ditch Social Media when looking for inspiration.

While I love being connected through several social platforms as well, sometimes it can do a number on our self esteem. When you are trying to hone in on your own unique style, I always encourage my clients to be inspired by others but stay true to yourself. You can be influenced by a color scheme, a location, a decade, don’t limit yourself to recreating a look you saw on Pinterest. Get creative and getting dressed will feel more personal.

4. Ask yourself “How Do I Feel?” every time you get dressed.

By doing this check in, you are making sure that you are showing up as your best self, and that my friends builds major confidence.

5. Clean out your closet.

Anyone who knows me knows that I swear by this so much I wrote a whole book on it. Maybe you still have clothes in your closet that don’t fit, clothes that you used to love that you don’t love anymore, or pieces that have been sitting in your closet with tags! You gotta clean that puppy out!

So now I wanna know, what is one way that makes you feel confident? Just asking yourself this question is the first step to really making you feel your best this year. Cause I can tell 2019 is gonna be your year for style and confidence!

I understand with social media, we can not compare our self with other, we are unique, everyone has different need.
