With a Little Paint :: P&K’s Playhouse Revamp

When my sister and I were small one summer both sets of our grandparents came to visit us in California from Illinois. Together, my grandpas build us the sweetest playhouse a girl could ever ask for. Memories pretending to be flower fairies living in a little cottage in the Forrest are forever ingrained in me.

That little house is still standing strong in the backyard of the home we grew up in and today my girls are able to play their hearts out inside the four walls built so many years ago by 2 of the most amazing people I know. I’ve always had a special relationship with each of my grandpas who are now both 91 years old. It means more then I could ever explain to see my girls play inside the little house they originally built for my sister and I.
When I was asked to team up with Dunn-Edwards for the Beyond Wild Imaginations campaign I immediately thought about the many days we played in our playhouse and how fun it would be to give it a revamp adding a fun girly color and brighten the cute little house up again.

I took the girls and went to a local Dunn-Edward shop and let them pick the color. If you know Piper you already know what color she picked…that’s right, PURPLE! Which was perfect to go with the already pale yellow walls.

I had a great experience at the store, everyone was so friendly, even with my 2 wild children running and attempting to climb on the displays. What can you do?! Our accent wall turned out great! I love the new pop of color and so do the girls! It was so easy to paint an accent wall and it made all the difference.
