Another month gone in a flash! Here’s our monthly recap in highs and lows. Be sure to follow us throughout the month on Instagram for our daily pictures of our favorite places, style, toys and more!
March Highs
Spring flowers: My favorite thing right now are the wildflowers covering the hilltops. Something I never want to forget, everytime we drive by any wildflowers my girls yell, “Mom! Your favorite yellow flowers, over there, over there!” It’s the sweetest thing ever!
Saint Patrick’s Day: Saint Patrick’s Day is always a favorite around here! My husband thinks it’s his second birthday since his name is Patrick and he’s very Irish. This year we didn’t go all out like usual but we had such a fun day, went to lunch downtown and then had corned beef and cabbage with some friends! Of course Pat wore his kilt and all the girls put there green on. I’m obsessed with my new green ruffle sleeve sweater you can find HERE. I want it in every color!
New Friends: Thankful for new friends! I envy how my children can walk up to anyone and become their best friend in less than 2 minutes. It gets harder to make good friends as adults but when we do they are so special.
Girls Night & A Date Night: Sadly, I don’t go out much! This month I got a girls night AND a couples date night. Making it a goal to do at least 2 kid-free dates per month. We’ll see how that goes!
National Oreo Day: Who knew this was a thing? Any excuse to eat cookies is a good one!
Lows
Sick Time: So much sick time! All 4 of us spent time under the weather in March, but it’s my oldest that worries me. She gets the highest fevers! Several trips to urgent care and sleeping on her floor, and she’s back to normal. I was really hoping she had grown out of her high fevers, it’s been a year since she had a bad one but no luck. 6 days straight with a 105-106 temperature! And my little one has been getting allergy induced eye infections. I’m looking forward to healthy kids! Hoping the Springtime brings better health!
Black Eyes and Scrapped Chins: Kenzie looks like she got beat up. 2 Black eyes that are scabbed over (from allergies) and a scrapped up chin (from Piper running into her with her bicycle. Ops!). I couldn’t even count the number of disapproving glares I’ve gotten from random people… this is two…for our rambunctious toddler!
Overwhelm: We have had so much going on lately! With Pat working 12-14 hour days I feel like I’m solo parenting while working my day job and running this blog and social channels. The overwhelm can set in hard! Remembering to slow down and take one thing at a time is important. (I’ll be sharing tips for dealing with overwhelm soon!)
HELLO April!!
We’re looking forward to a busy month, a Spring Break getaway, a healthy family (fingers crossed) and nicer weather!

April 11, 2018 at 2:59 amIt’s good that you had lots of positives for the month. Love your girls’ hair in the french braids. I wish we saw flowers where I live. We still have snow. It’ll get nicer during the week and then comes the weekend, we’d get a snow storm. We’ve had a storm for the past 4 week and we’re supposed to get another one this weekend.
