I’m starting to freak out a little… my sweet baby girl is only one month away from her first birthday! This year is flying by so quickly I need to step back and take a minute to breath in all the baby days I can. Before I blink again Kenzie will be a toddler! How in the world did that happen?!
Here’s a little update on what she’s been up to, and her favorite things!
Kenzie is always smiling and dancing. All the crawling and climbing is sadly starting to strip away some of her baby chub. She has 2 new teeth bringing the total up to 8, 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. She loves her finger foods. Her new favorite food is fresh fruit; she can’t get enough raspberries, halved blueberries and diced strawberries.
Her top choice toys are balls, anything with wheels and cuddly stuffed animals she can squeeze and hug. She has made a game out of dropping her paci and her balls off our balcony. Each time she drops something through the rails she giggles with delight. It is so fun to watch her learn and explore always with a grin on her face. She is always dancing! I’ve never seen anything like it with a baby her age; each time music comes on she smiles and bobs her whole body around and now includes waving her arms. It is the best!
Her swaddle blankets are always within an arms reach and she frequently puts them over her head for a game of peekaboo. It is my favorite thing to watch and play with her. Piper always gets in on the fun saying, “Where’s Kenzie?!” and Kenzie LOVES it when she pops her face out from behind her blanket!
Kenzie and Piper are so in love with each other. Watching their relationship blossom is amazing now that Kenzie can play with Piper a little bit and keep up with her better. They have so much fun playing chase and tackling each other with hugs and kisses. I’m so happy they have one another to grow up with. Their is nothing else like having a sister and I couldn’t be more proud to be their mama.
I hope this month slows down a little so we can enjoy each other and soak in the last of the baby days together as a family. This is such a sweet age I don’t want to miss a beat. It also helps Kenzie has been sleeping completely through the night! 5 nights in a row 7:30-6:30 can’t get much better then that! 🙂
My next Kenzie update will be when she is ONE! I’m baffled by how fast time goes by!
