Every Day is An Adventure :: Little Adventure Toys

DSC_0260.jpgWhen it comes to parenting, you never know what the day is going to bring when you first wake up in the morning. You can have it all planned out: wake up, change diapers, get dressed, brush teeth, comb hair, eat, play, work, run errands, baby sleeps, eat, play, baby sleeps, work, repeat. That’s pretty much how it goes, minus the curve balls that get thrown at you several times per day. Like the temper tantrum your three year old pulls right before leaving the house. The, “I have to go to the bathroom RIGHT NOW!” And you’re running around frantic searching for the nearest restroom! Or the diaper explosion at the grocery store. With two little ones in the house it takes an hour to get out of the door. It doesn’t matter if you are running to the store because you forgot you are out of almond milk or you are going to the park for a play date. It always takes an hour.

Aside from the challenges all parents face daily, the adventures we find in everyday are beautiful, rewarding, and magical. The wonder, imagination and constant learning fills our lives with fulfillment and joy.

Parenthood has it’s challenges. We are always asking ourselves, “What is the best thing for my daughter or son?” “How much screen time is okay without frying their little brains?” “What is in that plastic toy my baby keeps chewing on?” “Can they eat that?” “Can they do this?” Everyday we learn something new, just when we thought we had it all figured out.

When I discovered Little Adventure Toys, I was excited to give my baby girl the wooden teething toys to help ease swollen gums from those adorable first teeth breaking through. They are the perfect size for little baby hands. When I first thought about giving Kenzie wooden toys I worried about them splintering but these are made from hard rock maple which doesn’t splinter and even has anti-bacterial properties. Little Adventure Toys makes a plethora of different wooden teethers, which are all equally adorable. They are sanded down and protected by an organic beeswax and olive oil finish making them smooth to the touch and the chew! These wooden toys are classic. Our babies will be able to play with them for years, even after they are finished chewing on them. Once they are no longer putting everything in their mouths, they will be able to use their imagination and play with the fun wooden shapes.

I am a huge advocate of natural toys and love all Little Adventure Toys has to offer!
