Another birthday is coming up! My biggest is about to be NINE! I feel like gift-giving starts to get harder the older they get, probably because my girls have so much stuff! To make things easier Piper and I put together this gift guide to help you shop for the new nine-year-old girl in your life. Piper either has these items already or they are on her wish list for the holidays coming up! 9-year-old gift ideas from my almost nine-year-old.

Books to Read- Piper has been obsessed with the “I Survived” series. It’s a series of books about kids surviving traumatic historic events like September 11th and the sinking of The Titanic. She’s read 4 in the series and can’t put them down. Recommended for reading levels 4th-7th grade.
Cozy Slippers
Basketball Piper is super into basketball right now. I got her this pink and purple ball and I’m going to add her name to it. I know she’s going to love it because she plays at recess every day.
Alexa Echo Dot – To play music all day, every day. Because music is life to my 9-year-old and most of her friends.
Lava Lamp Did you have one as a kid? My brother did and I remember always wanting a lava lamp.
Mini Backpacks from Real Littles My girls both seem to love anything tiny that works. These little mini backpacks are filled with working tiny items, like tiny pers, notebooks, and rulers. They clip onto your real backpack.
Rubberband Loom Kit Piper’s had a rubberband loom for about 2 years. She has played with it consistently since she got it. Making bracelets, necklaces, and whatever she can conjure up.
Instax Camera
Skateboard A fun thing to encourage outside play!
Glitter Pens – A girl can never have too many fun pens to doodle with.
Hydro Flask Water Bottle– A nice water bottle for school and sports.
Splurge Items
Hanging Chair This is a cute and inexpensive hanging chair that would be perfect for a girl’s room.
Bicycle It might be time to upgrade to a bigger bike with a kickstand! There are so many cute bikes out there for girls!
Electric Scooter These Electric Scooters are so fun! They are on sale right now for $127 so it’s a good time to grab one if you’ve been eyeing them!
Kid’s fitness/activity tracking watch My girls have these. They help them keep track of time, and count steps for fun. It has a timer they use for homework, for reading for 30 minutes a day, or for piano practice. My girls LOVE them! You can hook them up to a parent-controlled app to manage chores and give rewards. This brand runs for about $55.
