Looking for a fun weekend adventure with your besties? Or maybe a getaway with your husband sans kids? Or both! Last weekend we packed up the car, dropped the girls off with family, and took a road trip to Healdsburg to meet up with another couple for an overnight in Wine Country!
I was nervous to leave the girls but it was so worth it! I feel like I had a chance to reconnect with my husband and spend some quality time with friends. It was amazing! Everything from the food, the lodging, bike rides and of course the wine, was perfect!
Note: I wasn’t planning on writing a blog post but so many people have asked for advice on things to do and where to stay in Healdsburg over on my Instagram page that I decided I should. I don’t have a ton of photos but this will work!
Where To Stay?
The Grape Leaf Inn
My good friend Brie from My Splendid Living found the cutest Bed and Breakfast in Healdsburg, California! The service was amazing, the decor was quaint, patio beautiful, and breakfast was delicious! They had the option of gluten free eggs benedict that was so good it makes me want to go back right now! AND they have bikes! Everything about this bed and breakfast was relaxing!
What to Do in Healdsburg?
Ride Bikes
The four of us took the bikes from The Grape Leaf Inn (available for guests only) out to explore the cute little town of Healdsburg in the morning after breakfast. We ended up riding for a few hours and then stopping at the cutest tasting room with the best Rosé… I don’t usually even like rosé!
Wine Taste
It’s wine country so wine tasting is huge, obviously! Our favorite little tasting room right in the downtown square was Banshee Wines. Seriously the cutest tasting room and I’m hating myself for not taking any pictures of it!
We went to Healdsburg a couple years ago with our 1st daughter when she was small. There are plenty of things to do with kids if you want to bring them along. You can read about our favorite family-friendly wineries HERE.
Shop
Punch Clothing had some really cute woman’s wear, Free People, Amuse Society, and Dolce Vida are some of the brands you can find in store.
For cute kids clothes head to Cupcake. Everything in there is adorable! Find brands like Tea Collection, Winter Water Factory, and Petit Lem.

Eat
If you can only pick one restaurant go to Barndiva.
We had the most amazing meal. Everything was beyond delicious, I got full but couldn’t leave a bite on my plate it was that good. I had the Halibut for my entree and the table got a tuna and a crab salad appetizer to share. All gluten-free and so good! I wouldn’t bring kids here if you have them, but it’s definitely worth getting a babysitter for!
Relax
Easy to do with a glass of wine pretty much anywhere is the cute little town of Healdsburg!
What I Wore
The perfect outfit for a day out in Healdsburg, comfortable but stylish:
Pink Blush Top find it HERE // White Jeans HERE // Wedges HERE // Sunglasses HERE
Road trips without kids are so relaxing! I almost forgot we had been in the car for almost 3 hours, even with the traffic we hit on the way! The way back was a bit different and the traffic was terrible but still worth every second!
Have a great weekend adventuring!
