While most of you are settling back into the school day routine, I’m over here getting ready for a very long flight with 2 young children. 17 hours to be exact. I told you it was long. The long trek will definitely be worth it but will also require some prep on my end. I’m using my Carry on Checklist to get ready for the flight!
Have you ever flown overseas with kids? If you have, you already know how important it is to be prepared. Ok, who am I kidding? Even if you don’t have kids, a 17-hour flight is LONG and you need to go prepared.
Here’s how we Prepare for Take-Off
The Ultimate Carry On Checklist for Long Flights with Kids

I am loving Sahale Snacks. They are protein-rich and the package is compact, making them perfect for a long flight. All Sahale Snack products are made from high-quality ingredients. They are Non-GMO, Gluten Free, and have no Artificial Preservatives or Artificial Sweeteners. Making me feel good about putting them into my body.
They are carefully crafted combinations of nuts, dried fruits, and exotic spices helping you to experiment with different flavor combinations. Keeping snacking interesting while you are on the go. My favorite flavor is the Maple Pecans Glazed Mix. They come in several flavor combinations including;

Something to Read
I like to bring a variety of reading material. A new novel and some magazines that I can leave behind.
Toys for the Kids
Gotta keep the little ones entertained! Don’t forget coloring books or plain paper. I always like to buy my girls a few new toys to unwrap as a surprise on the plane so they have something new to play with. I’ll be writing a whole post on the perfect toys for long flights soon!
More Snacks
Remember, this flight is seventeen long hours. That mean’s you’ll want to bring more than one pack of Sahale Snacks!
Comfort
Comfort is key on airplanes. Don’t forget to pack a small travel pillow and a lightweight blanket or a blanket scarf. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to slip on and off for security and while you’re sitting in your seat. Don’t forget to bring an extra set of clothes for each person you are traveling with. You never know when you’ll get spilled on or worse.
I put together a checklist for all your carry on needs for traveling with kids!
