Our Snowy Trip to The Forest Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe

Our trip to The Forest Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe was sponsored but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own, as always.

Finally getting our trip to The Forest Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe up! It’s been 2 weeks since we got back and I’m still daydreaming about our trip, so much that we are headed back up to the snow this week!

South Lake Tahoe is definitely on the top of our winter travel list and this year the snow has been incredible! More powder than you could imagine, perfect for building all the snowmen and snow-girls your heart (or in our case, our daughter’s hearts) desire! It is the perfect destination for families of all ages!

During this trip, The Forest Suites Resort was so kind and hosted our family of 4. The Forest Suites Resort is right in Heavenly Village, within walking distance to everything you could possibly need. The location in itself is a perfect reason to stay at the Forest Suites Resort. We loved walking out the front door across the street to Heavenly Village for all sorts of entertainment including, really good restaurants, Outdoor Ice Skating, and a Gondola ride to the top of the mountain for skiing, snowboarding, and even sledding.

We got lucky on the drive to Tahoe and timed it just right to miss the snow storm that was headed into South Lake. The snow came in heavy after breakfast on Saturday making these girls the happiest little ones in the universe. I have to admit it, me too! This California girl has never seen so much snow!

We ended up snowed in! A first for me and the girls! The Forest Suites made it so easy for us and graciously extended our stay until we were able to make it safely out of Tahoe. I will say if you have to get snowed in, there are much worse places to be! Our suite was beautiful, equipped with everything we needed staying with young kids, and some very special amenities as an added bonus, like the hot tub…

Our suite had a full kitchen. Kenzie was pretty excited about the “smoothie maker”, also known as a blender. 🙂

Two bathrooms, with a shower and a bathtub, perfect for a family of four.

Not one but two fireplaces, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, providing a beautiful ambiance.

Oh, and the hot tub room… how amazing is that?

We ended up watching the 2nd half of the Super Bowl from the hot tub. Like I said, not a bad place to get snowed in!

Extras

The Forest Suites Resort provides a continental breakfast with your stay that is great! They have everything from eggs with biscuits and gravy to sugary cereal and pastries any kid would love.

The lounge offers a glass of wine to each guest 21+ at check in and even has a karaoke night. You better believe Kenzie was up at the counter signing her heart out! They have a full game room for the kids to play in too.

We had the best time in South Lake Tahoe! If you are looking for a great place to stay with your family or friends I definitely recommend the Forest Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe. You’ll love the location and the amenities!

Here’s to an adventurous winter! With all this snow we all might as well make the best of it but this place would be perfect for a summer trip as well! You really can’t compete with the location.
