Going on a… BAT hunt! Ok guys, this year with COVID still around we’re doing everything we can to make Halloween fun for the kids! It looks like trick-or-treating is out of the question so we’re putting on a Bat hunt in the neighborhood. Are you asking yourself, “What’s a bat hunt?” It’s simple! Add a few paper bat cut-outs in your windows for the neighborhood kids to find on their walks and bike rides, and you’ve got a bat hunt! I’ve included some free bat printables and links where you can purchase bats if you’d rather just buy them. So you can join in too!
Did your neighborhood do something similar with Easter Eggs and Teddy Bears? Ours did, and it was so much fun for the girls! Such a simple way to bring some excitement to a regular day. It is the little things that count the most!
All you need to do is print out one of the bat printables below and cut it out layered with a piece of black construction paper. Tape the black bats to one of your front windows. If you want to decorate the white ones you could put them in the window too!
