This past weekend is the first time the girls and I have ever been apple picking. Which is slightly hard to believe since Pat grew up with an apple orchard in his back yard. Let me tell you, it was so much fun!
We’ve been strawberry picking, cherry picking and even pumpkin picking…I’m so happy to add apple picking to that list and hoping to make it a new Fall family tradition.

Life has been a bit chaotic and a few unforeseen surprises have emotionally rocked me quite a bit lately. Life can be hard, sad, challenging, you know the drill… but all these things have a way to make you stronger. They also help you appreciate the little things much more.
Like Apple picking.
An easy, simple activity to do with your family in the Fall. The giggles and smiles were exactly what I needed! We’ve traveled to so many amazing places lately but sometimes its the smallest things that bring you the most happiness.
So please remember
Appreciate all the little things.
Tomorrow is not a promise.
Be kind today.
Be present.
Don’t be afraid to be a little silly.
And always love with your whole heart.
Get on Google and look up where you can pick apples with your family. Or simply go outside, take a walk and collect Fall leaves. Whatever makes you and yours smile, do it. Say yes to your kids a little more often. If they want you to snuggle with them a few extra minutes at bed time or read an extra story, say yes. Sometimes it’s all the little details that matter most.
Now we’ve got to figure out what to do with all these beautiful apples!
