Inspiring Pretend Play with Madame Alexander Doll Company

This post is sponsored by Madame Alexander Doll Company.

In a world with so many digital options, it’s easy to forget that simply playing with your kids is so important. Playing make-believe is in full effect in our house. We are advocates of minimal screen time and lots of play-time, both independently and together. Madame Alexander Doll Company sent the girls the Middleton Twins from their newest doll collection. Kenzie specifically has fallen in love. She takes the twins everywhere!

The Best Baby Doll for Girls

The History of Madame Alexander Dolls

Madame Alexander was founded in 1923 by a 28-year-old woman, Madame Beatrice Alexander Behrman. She believed dolls should be played with and loved, in an era of porcelain dolls she founded Madame Alexander. A company creating quality dolls that wouldn’t break when played with. Today, Madame Alexander is still bringing happiness to girls, boys, and collectors with their quality dolls and accessories.

The Importance of Pretend Play

Why Pretend Play?

You can create the world around you when you imagine it. For a child that is magical.

Pretending sparks imagination which helps to develop a child’s skills in many areas. Children who use their imagination to pretend are often more creative, good at creatively solving problems, and perform well in school. So why not encourage pretend-play?

Cute Twin Dolls

Dolls encourage a motherly or fatherly instinct. Helping teach compassion and love as your child takes care of their doll.

The Dolls

Twin dolls for pretend play

The Madame Alexander Middleton Twins are adorable, they are high quality but made to be played with! The dolls feel more real than any baby doll I’ve held. For me (and I’m sure most of you) it is important for my daughter’s toys to be high-quality. I wouldn’t want a doll that one of the girls fell in love with to fall apart, that would devastate her.

Every detail is made with perfection. Their clothes are soft and easily come on and off in case they need to be washed. Their faces are also easy to wipe clean as needed.

When I selected The Middleton Twins from the doll catalog I was thinking they would be perfect so each of my daughters can have their own baby doll. Kenzie, my almost 4-year-old, gravitated toward them more so than my 6-year-old. Although one is dressed in blue and one in pink she calls them her baby girls and has named them Ella and Bella.
