Do you ever have those moments you just need to escape from… well, your children? It’s ok. Every day as a parent I’m learning it is ok to need a little space. It is ok to do things for yourself, in fact, it’s important. Your children are your life, I know, mine too, but between the moments of pure adorableness and sweetness sometimes they drive us crazy. The whining, the constant need for snacks and water, or help in the bathroom, it can be exhausting. In real life, they aren’t always perfect little angels. A little time to yourself is like pushing restart, giving you the ability to stay calm and collected through a temper tantrum or willingly play that board game for the 10th time in a row.

Me time doesn’t have to be calling a babysitter and getting out of the house for hours, “me time” can simply be hiding behind the counter to grab a quiet snack for 5 minutes. Have you had My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream yet? It’s one of my new favorites! The perfect easy snack to grab and eat in the corner, no bowl required so it’s very sneak-able from the kids because some things I’d just rather not share. They are gluten-free and some flavors are even offered dairy free! A super yummy snack that( if I chose to) I could share with the whole family even with our handful of food allergies from gluten to dairy.
Today is one of those days I seriously needed to escape for a minute to collect myself, I have a three-year-old after all. The hardest age, I’m convinced. She’s into testing the limits, not listening and laughs when I threaten a timeout. Something as simple as My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream snack can recharge me however, I might need to call that babysitter soon and go get a pedicure! Another necessary me time activity every so often. 🙂
What do you do for your me time?
